COUNCILS
Fresh Air Fitness worked with Wooburn and Bourne End Council to install an outdoor gym at Wooburn Park, creating a new opportunity for the local community to enjoy outdoor exercise for free, year-round.
The project included our award-winning Big Rig, providing a wide range of exercise stations in a spacious outdoor setting and took into consideration a particular archaeological challenge.
Establishing the outdoor gym at Wooburn Park required careful positioning to respect the area's long history, which includes a nearby Roman road route and various early settlements.
By using low-impact installation methods, the project brought an innovative Fresh Air Fitness outdoor gym to the park while ensuring the ground's older historical layers remain completely undisturbed.
Working within the park's restrictions, our expert team developed a suitable fixing system that allowed us to install our award-winning Big Rig, featuring over 20 user stations.
The installation was complemented by grass matting throughout the gym area and a complimentary compliance sign to ensure adherence to the relevant outdoor fitness equipment standard, EN16630.
"We knew we were in very safe hands with Fresh Air Fitness. The product engineers’ expertise gave us complete confidence that the installation would meet our specific needs. We've been absolutely delighted with the result as the outdoor gym is incredibly popular, and the quality of both the equipment and installation is excellent" Deputy Clerk, Wooburn & Bourne End Parish Council
