Over the past 10 years, we have been lucky enough to have worked with various NHS organisations to install outdoor gym equipment into the grounds of hospitals, rehabilitation clinics and Mental Health Trusts. The popularity and success of these outdoor gyms into such a variety of establishments has meant that we now have close to 100 installations in the NHS throughout the UK.

The key focus driving these projects has been helping in the rehabilitation of patients, in both secure environments or outpatients and their visitors. More recently, organisations have also sought solutions for their employees, offering an outdoor gym for staff to use to help support their health and wellbeing, which is critical given the difficult circumstances that staff often have to deal with.

A number of NHS organisations have proceeded to purchase multiple pieces of equipment, expanding existing gyms or to adding multiple gyms across various sites. Our gyms have been particularly beneficial in mental health ward environments. The Trusts at Birmingham and Solihull and Barnet and Enfield have seen such benefit our outdoor gyms offer, that they have each installed a gym into more than ten different locations.

Secure units do provide their challenges. However, our outdoor gym equipment has been designed is such a way that we are able to disassemble and reassemble the products, allowing us to manoeuvre the equipment down small corridors into secure yards.
Our expertise also means that we're able to install the equipment into yards with difficult paving areas, into tarmac or into grassed areas. We can also deliver full solutions for those with a requirement for surfacing, wet pour or rubber mulch, due to the condition of their patients.
