In 2007, the Blairs left Downing Street for the last time, England failed to qualify for the 2008 Euro football championships and the second section of the High Speed (HS) 1 rail line opened. Meanwhile, legislation banning smoking in enclosed public places, such as pubs and restaurants, came into force.
But 2007 was also the year in which Fresh Air Fitness launched. We’ve since gone on to become the UK’s leading outdoor gym equipment supplier and have won a number of industry awards for what we do.

We supply free workout planners, videos plus an app along with full instructions and signage, to ensure users get the most from our equipment.
What’s more, we’re the UK’s experts in outdoor gym equipment – no other organisation has more experience in the sector than we do, and it is all we do! 100% focused on the manufacture and delivery or outdoor gyms. Our specialist expertise is vast and, over the last 17 years, we’ve installed our outside fitness equipment in a huge variety of sometimes unexpected locations, from rooftops to cruise liners, prisons to motorway service stations. (Other clients include schools, mental and physical health providers, residential care homes and local authorities.)
Not only that but 100% of our projects have been delivered on budget – plus our outdoor gyms provide a complete, full-body workout for all ages of user, no matter their ability or fitness level.
When we look back on our journey to date, one achievement which stands out is our Big Rig, which has won awards in its own right. Originally the Big Rig launched in 2016 and following feedback from users, we’ve modified the design. The Big Rig has the same smart footprint, but can now accommodate 20 users, offering more stations and challenges.
This piece offers almost limitless opportunities to push your fitness training, for everyone from beginners to advanced gym bunnies, including those looking for a calisthenics workout.
It’s almost a complete gym on its own! With eight individual stations, from chest press to sit-up bench, this product’s multiple pull-up bars provide a versatile full-body training rig for 20 users at the same time, making it the perfect solution for sports teams and communities, plus it suits widely varying fitness levels.
