Clements Primary Academy wanted to inspire children to take part in more physical exercise at their Haverhill Primary School. Pupils had also expressed a desire for an outside gym. “We wanted equipment that was robust and could be used all through the school day. The School Council was involved in the process, they wanted outdoor gym equipment”. The multi-station outdoor gym includes a selection of outdoor gym equipment products for primary schools. A Double Cross-Country Skier, Air Skier, Hip Twister, T’ai Chi Spinners, Cardio Combi and a Seated Leg Press, and can be used during breaktimes and lunchtimes, as well as PE lessons. 15 children can use the gym at one time. As part of the physical education programme, pupils at Clements Primary Academy are able to use the outdoor gym to challenge themselves, they can work independently of each other, motivating each child to work to their own goals, developing muscular and cardiovascular strength, balance, co-ordination. Each piece of equipment allows at least 2 children to work side by side, making it even more enjoyable.
