Green spaces, fresh air and regular exercise, the ultimate combination
New research in America has shown a direct correlation between exposure to natural green spaces and incidence of depression, with those having the greatest exposure being least likely to suffer from depression. This effect had already been noticed and demonstrated in adults, but this is the first study focusing on adolescents.
Other studies have shown that regular exercise improves mental wellbeing in all groups and that exercising outside in fresh air is more beneficial than exercising inside.
